MANIFESTO POSTER 19

For this project, I chose a historical manifesto from a provided list. To create a compelling composition, I explored typography, grid, colour, shape, and scale. The poster offers a vivid expression of the text at hand and insight into my understanding of the material. I mainly considered the manipulation, intervention, and expression of typography when analyzing the protest song Hurricane by Bob Dylan. The song is about the imprisonment of boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter. It compiles acts of racism and profiling against Carter, which Dylan describes as leading to a false trial and conviction.
