This project is a collection of visual pieces, each featuring a unique shade of brown, presented in minimalist PDF format using Arena’s design limitations. Inspired by the phrase Mejorar la Raza, which reflects colorist ideals in Latinx cultures, this series challenges the harmful notion that "improvement" equates to lighter skin. Each shade is enclosed within a padded envelope, symbolizing the beauty and value that all skin tones deserve to be protected and celebrated. Through simplicity and intention, the project invites reflection on diversity and the rejection of colonial beauty standards.
